Watermelon Mojito (Cocktail)
Watermelon is nice refreshing fruit for summer hence it is used mostly to make juices and cocktails.
Watermelon is combined mostly with vodka and rum for drinks.
Mojito is nice refreshing drink mostly served during parties. Mojito is also made with lemon and pineapple also.
How To Make Watermelon Mojito:
- Take watermelon 7-8 pieces in a glass and muddle (press) it to get the juice and fresh flavor out of it.
- Now in another glass put half muddled watermelon juice.
- Squeeze 2-3 lemon slices (wedges) along with the lemon slice in it.
- Put some crushed ice cubes on top of it.
- Now take 4-5 pudina (mint leaves) and tap with your hand and put on the ice cubes. Taping will give nice fresh flavor of mint.
- Put 10 ml sugar syrup in it.
- Now pour remaining muddled watermelon juice on top of it.
- Put 45 ml white rum and shake slightly.
- Watermelon Mojito is ready. If you don’t want to use rum you can have it without it also.
Carrot Beetroot Spinach Juice
Carrot is rich in antioxidants. It reduces the risk of heart disease. Carrot is good for eyesight. You can have carrots daily but excessive consumption of carrots can cause discoloration in skin (yellow colour). Intake of 1 or 2 carrot is ok if you are having it daily.
Simillarly beetroot has many health benefits. It is rich in vitamin and fibre.
Spinach also has vitamins, protein and fibre in it.
Carrot Beetroot Spinach Juice:
- Wash peel and cut 1 medium size carrot into small pieces.
- Simillarly peel, wash and dice beetroot into small pieces.
- Wash and break 2 spinach leaves into pieces.
- Wash and roughly chop few strands of coriander leaves (dhaniya patti).
- Wash and cut 1 small tomato into pieces.
- Simillarly wash and keep 3-4 leaves of mint (pudina).
- Now put carrot, beetroot and spinach pieces into blender along with small piece of ginger, tomato, coriander leaves and mint leaves.
- Add some water as per consistency you want. We don’t want our juice to be too thick so adjust water accordingly.
- This carrot beetroot juice is very nutritious. It removes the impurities from our body and brings glow on our skin.
- You can have this juice daily but don’t take it on empty stomach as consumption of too much beet on empty stomach may lead to stomach problems so better to take this nutritious juice at night after food or in morning with breakfast after eating something.
Lagan Nu Achar (Parsi Food Recipe)
Lagan Nu Achar is pickle prepared during Parsi wedding. Pickle has sweetness of carrots and jaggery, sourness of vinegar, and spices added to it, altogether a good combination and taste. Parsi food is known for its taste.
How To Make Lagan Nu Achar:
- Soak apricots, dry dates, raisins, figs in half vinegar overnight. Plum and boras are also used in this pickle so if its available with you use it along with these dry fruits.
- Wash peel and grate 3 medium carrots approx 250-300 gms next day morning.
- Cut jaggery into small pieces.
Crush cinnamon, cardamon and cloves together. - Take grated carrots in a vessel along with jaggery and 2 tablespoon sugar.
- Put remaining vinegar in the vessel and on low flame cook the mixture till carrots become soft.
- Now add 4-5 dry red chillies and 1 teaspoon cumin seeds. Mostly small round chillies are used in this recipe but as I couldn’t find it so I am using normal dry chillies.
- Put 1 tablespoon ginger julians and mix. I am not adding garlic here if you want you can add crushed garlic here along with ginger.
- Put little salt and 1 teaspoon garam masala powder.
- Now add crushed cinnamon, cardamon and clove powder in it.
Cook lagan nu achar till it becomes thick. - Switch off the flame. Once achar cools down store it in air tight container.
Veg Manchurian Fried Rice Recipe
How To Make Veg Manchurian Fried Rice (Chinese Food Recipe):
- Wash and cut 1/2 cup chopped cabbage, 1/4 cup carrots, 1/4 cup capsicum.
- Take all veggies in a bowl.
Add 1/4 cup sprouts and mix. - Now add 1 tablespoon soya sauce, 1 1/2 tablespoon all purpose flour (maida) and 2 tablespoon corn flour, 1 tablespoon red chilly sauce, salt and mix.
- Apply little water to your hand and make round manchurian balls of mixture.
- Heat oil in a kadai and fry manchurian balls on low flame.
Gravy for manchurian:
- Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a kadai.
- Put 1 tablespoon finely chopped ginger and 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic.
- Fry for 2-3 seconds and then add 1 small sliced onion and stir.
- Now add 1/2 sliced medium size green capsicum and stir.
- Add 1 1/2 tablespoon soya sauce, 1 tablespoon red chilly sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar and 1 tablespoon green chilly sauce and mix.
- Add water and fried manchurian balls and stir.
- Add little salt as our soya sauce already has salt in it.
- Stir the manchurian gravy now add 1/2 tablespoon corn flour in 2 tablespoon water and put into the gravy.
- Put cooked rice and stir gently.
Our manchurian rice is ready.
Hakka Noodles Recipe
How To Make Hakka Noodles ( Food Recipe):
- Cut veggies(capsicum, carrot, cabbage) into strips. Cut onion’s greens and white into pieces.
- Finely chop 3-4 garlic pods, small piece of ginger and 2 green chillies.
- Boil 75-80 grams hakka noodles in 5 cups of water. Once water starts boiling add hakka noodles in it and boil till noodles are cooked. Noodles should not be too soft.
- Drain water and keep noodles aside. Apply little oil to noodles so that it doesn’t stick to each other.
- Now in a wok or non stick pan put some oil (2-3 tablespoon) and let it heat.
- Break 2 eggs in a bowl and add very little salt to it and mix.
- Once oil is heated pour the beaten egg and make omelette.
- Now break the omelette into small pieces with the help of spatula.
- Remove and keep aside. (If you don’t want to put egg it’s optional you can avoid it).
- Add finely chopped ginger-garlic to the oil and stir.
- Quickly add chopped onion white or onion slices and stir.
- Put chopped green chillies and stir again.
- Now add veggies(carrot, capsicum, cabbage and onion greens).
- Mix everything and cook on high flame so that our veggies turn crispier.
- Now add boiled hakka noodles and mix with the help of two spoon or wodden spatula.
- Put 1 1/2 tablespoon soya sauce, 1 tablespoon red chilly sauce, 1 teaspoon green chilly sauce and 1 tablespoon tomato sauce.
- Add some salt. Soya sauce already has some salt so add salt accordingly and mix everything.
- Switch off the flame and serve hakka noodles hot.
Atta Halwa Recipe
India is well known for its desserts whether its Jalebi or Rasgulla or Rabri or Laddo. There are n no of desserts in India which are known for its taste and beauty. When we are talking about desserts in India how can I forget Halwa. Yes halwa is a dessert prepared in almost every house of India on occasions or after lunch or dinner. Gajar halwa, lauki halwa, suji halwa, moong dal halwa, atta halwa, etc are types of halwa and each halwa is popular for its taste.Atta halwa is made with minimum ingredients. It takes less time and taste delicious. Atta halwa is mostly served as prasad to God.
How To Make Atte Ka Halwa:
- First slice or chop dry fruits and keep aside.
- Now in a vessel take 1 cup sugar along with 2 cup of water and keep to boil till sugar gets dissolved.
- Simultaneously heat 4-5 tablespoon ghee in a pan for halwa.
- Once ghee becomes hot add 1 cup wheat flour (atta) and roast it by stiring continously.
- Keep stiring till wheat flour becomes brown and is cooked properly.
- Check the sugar might have dissolved. Pour the hot sugar water into the roasted atta (wheat flour) and mix continously till it absorbs the sugar mixture and starts becoming dry.
- Put more 2-3 tablespoon ghee at this stage of halwa and stir continously.
- Put half chopped dry fruits and mix again.
- Switch off the flame atta halwa is ready to be served. Garnish halwa with rest dry fruits on top.
Beet Root Tikki Recipe
How To Make Beet Root Tikki:
- We require 1 boiled potato and 1/2 beetroot.
- Remove skin of both beet root and boiled potato.
- Wash and grate beet root and keep aside.
- Mash potato and add grated beet root in it.
- Put 2 tablespoon green peas.
- Now add 1 teaspoon coriander garlic chilli paste.
- Put salt as per your taste.
- Put 1 tablespoon chaat masala and mix everything.
- Put 3-4 tablespoon bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon roasted coriander cumin powder. You can add roasted cumin powder if you don’t have roasted coriander cumin powder.
- Mix everything and shape 2 large tikkies.
- Now in a bowl take 1 tablespoon corn starch in some water and mix for coating of tikkies.
- Take bread crumbs in another plate for coating (binding) of beet root tikkies.
- Now heat 2 tablespoon oil or ghee on tava on low flame.
- Quickly take the tikkies one by one and put in the corn starch sauce.
- Let the sauce coat on both the sides.
Remove the tikkies and put on bread crumbs. Let the bread crumbs coat on both the sides. - Again repeat the process, put tikkies in corn starch and then coat it again with bread crumbs. This process is called double binding.
- Place the tikkies on hot tava one by one.
- Flip the tikkies on other sides once it turns crispier.
- Switch of the flame once tikkies get good color and turns crispier from both the sides.
- Serve beet root tikkies hot with garlic chutney or coriander mint chutney or dhaniya tamatar chutney or tomato sauce.
Chilli Macaroni Recipe, How To Make Chinese Style Macaroni
Pasta is loved by everyone especially by kids. There types of pasta available and they are made in different styles in different sauces. Pasta which is used for this recipe is elbow pasta which is called as macaroni. This macaroni pasta recipe is made in chinese style and if your kid is chinese lover definitely he or she is going to enjoy it.
How To Make Chilli Macaroni:
- Boil Macaroni 100- 150 gms (elbow pasta).
- By the time macaroni pasta is boiling chop 1 onion, 1/2 capsicum, cabbage, onion greens, 5-6 garlic cloves, piece of ginger.
- As soon as macaroni is boiled drain water and keep macaroni aside in a plate.
- Now heat 2-3 tablespoon oil in a kadhai.
- Once oil becomes hot, add chopped onion and cook till translucent.
Now put finely chopped ginger-garlic and stir. Flame should be high but avoid burning, keep stiring continously. - Now add capsicum, cabbage and mix.
- Add some salt. Soya sauce already has salt in it so adjust accordingly.
- Put green chilli slits without seeds.
- Kids also love this recipe so add less chillies. If you don’t want to add chillies then don’t add but if you like spicy then add green chillies as per the hotness you want in the pasta (2-3 chillies).
- Take 1 tablespoon corn starch in 3/4 cup of water and mix properly.
- Now add 2 tablespoon soya sauce in kadhai.
- Put 1 tablespoon red chilly sauce and 1/2 tablespoon green chilly sauce. Keep stiring.
- Now add 2 tablespoon tomato ketchup and mix again.
- Put boiled macaroni pasta in it and mix.
- Put more 1/2 to 3/4 glass of water and mix again.
- Now add chopped onion greens on top and mix again.
- Switch of the flame. Chilli Macaroni pasta is ready, serve hot.
Green Garlic Chutney (Garlic Leaves Chutney)
How To Make Fresh Green Garlic Chutney:
- Wash and roughly chop a bunch of green garlic leaves along with garlic in the bunch. You get small bunches of green garlic easily available in the market.
- Take the chopped fresh garlic leaves in a grinder.
- Wash and put handful of coriander leaves in it.
- Break and put 4 green chillies into it. You can use red chillies also. If you like less spicy then add 2 chillies or less then that.
- Now add salt to taste and 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds.
- You can also add 1 chopped starfruit in it but this is optional. I don’t have starfruit right now so I am not using it.
- Put 2 tablespoon water and grind the garlic chutney into fine paste.
- Remove the chutney from grinder and put it in serving bowl. Enjoy your green garlic chutney with hot pakodas or french fries or in chaat, etc.
Strawberry Milkshake Recipe, How To Make Strawberry Milkshake
How To Make Refreshing Strawberry MilkShake:
- Wash 6-7 strawberries and remove green leaf part of the strawberries.
- Cut strawberries into slices and put in the grinded jar.
- Put 3-4 tablespoon sugar in the jar. If you prefer little less sweet decrease the amount of sugar or you can also use honey instead of sugar. If your strawberries are already sweet then less sugar is required else adjust the sugar according to the sweetness of strawberries.
- Now add 1 small cup vanilla ice cream which you easily get in shops in market. You can also use strawberry ice cream instead of vanilla ice cream.
- Put 3/4 to 1 cup milk. If you want your shake more thick add 1/2 cup milk.
- Grind everything such that strawberries are fully crushed and mixed with milk along with sugar and you get beautiful pink colour.
- Pour the milkshake in serving glass or jar.
- Put strawberry slices on the top. MacDonald style strawberry milkshake is ready.
